Thanks for all the help, sorry for all the questions. If I go with these HD Apes how do I go about looking for risers to make them fit or will my stock ones work.

I used my stock risers and you can too with the bars from your link. The diamiter is only 1". If you don't buy this bar then the diamiter of the bar would determin the kind or risers needed - i.e. 1" bar (as in the link) stock risers can be used; 1-1/4" bar new risers would have to be purchased that except 1-1/4" bars. If you get a lost feeling that is normal because of all the parts out there. Just come back to the Clinic and one of us will put you back on track. You can always PM (personal message) me and I can give you my phone number to talk things out. Custom risers can always be added later too. It's an easy mod.

BTW the only stupid question is the one that is not asked. Questoins are why the Clinic was started and is still going today.

My local dealer has these bars for $89.00 and I have a $100 gift card. My only concern is they are not knurled. Will this be a problem?

Shouldn't matter if not knurled. The bars on my other bike aren't and I never had a problem with them.

Here is a pic of my 1.5 in. Carlini "Gangster Apes". you can see the hand area is 1 in. so you can use your normal controls. It is also what is called "dimpled and drilled" so that wires can easily be run inside the bars.
With bars like mine you have to have new risers, thus the chunk of raw aluminum in the photo (for another thread) Some 1.5 in. bars have 1 in. at the hands and 1 in. at the riser section as well, so stock risers can be used, but some milling may be necessary from what I have read and heard from some using them. Hope this helps.
