I saw that even the Race Tech upgraded unit has an Eibach spring on it! Anyway, the stock Gold Wing spring is nearly 200# over our stock spring, so you are getting a spring update, as well as (most likely) internal damping that better suits you, since the heavier spring works so well with the stock setup. I'm working on my purchase as we speak, and will be converting in August, next time I get to go Home to Texas.

I'll absolutely post up when done.

I will be doing Race Tech Springs and emulators on the front after that.

I'd like to hear some feedback from someone who has done this with the flip and grind. If I do it, it would be nice to do it at the same time.

I don't think it is possible to do with the flip and grind as it will hit the linkage severely causing major binding/damage. When the Goldwing shock is installed in our R* linkage it is backwards of the original shock configuration.

This is what the two shocks looks like next to each other. Notice how the spring base plate on the Goldwing shock is very close to the aluminum open end for the linkage (left side of the shocks in the picture).

Thanks for that picture. Now I see why this may be a good idea. Are there specific years to look for on the HOnda shock?

'bout 60 miles south of you Gonz. Ellis County, near Waxahachie. Straight down I-35E, go east at exit 405 for about 4 miles, and you can see my house from the intersection with FM 813, which is going to be an awesome bike road this fall, when it's finished end to end!

Shacky, no specific years as far as we know, they are all the same.

This one looks like the hydraulic line is questionable. I imagine it'd be a bitch trying to get fluid re-primed with new tube

If you look on one of the goldwing forums there are some instructions for refilling and bleeding the system.
I also found this braided line apparently the stock line likes to swell. I don't know if that would be a problem on our lighter bikes

Mine just arrived today, won on Ebay for $50.00 shipped. Now it's time to research the install again, and get my plan together. I can't wait to get this on. It was going to be a winter mod but I don't think I can wait.
