Id still try and buy it back and part it out of there's anything worth parting out anyway. Id be almost willing to bet the guy will say since the forks are bent that the frame must be bent as well... If you were in the States, it might be worth it to buy back for next to nothing and part out. Canada has all those import/export regulations that would make it a pain in the butt. And by book value, I don't think they give you a lot of credit for extras. I don't think it costs a lot to buy it back. My dad had an accident a year or so ago in his Kia Van. There was just body damage, but they totaled it. They were going to give his a little over 6K for it. He bought it back with a salvage title for a grand and has been driving it ever since. I crashed in April. Have a 2001 with 34,000+ miles. Had $3062 in damage $22 short of totaling it out. Said book was $4750 and extras are just a cost to you.
