Mr Cancilla where did you move your idle adjustment to? I called myself looking for it but it didn't jump out at me, I guess I missed it. I was thinking about moving mine but haven't a clue what would be a good place.

Mine wraps around the bottom and up the left side, then tucked up under the tank. Its not really accessable that way, but once its set up good, you shouldn't need to touch it.

Thanks, I'll look around for a place to remount it. It kinda looks lonesome where it is now. This aircleaner project was interesting to do. Nice job on the information part of it. Glad you posted it.

Looks good. I am thinking of doing it. What's involved in getting the filter out for cleaning? Can't tell from the pictures.

The filter doesn't come out! Its all one piece. The filter itself has a chromed face. So removing it for cleaning is the same way you put it on. Two screws on the mounting plate and loosen the clamp on the back.

A more complete write up for the tech section is coming...I just haven't had time to complete it!

Mr Cancilla,

how's it going? I'm going to make the same mod's on my bike 02 v-star 1100 classic, I ordered the barons needle/jet kit but what I've been reading on the forums, is that I may have to go higher on the jets thean whats included in the kit, is that correct? I'm new to all this soo I was just wondering.

Thanks
Dwaine

Quick question for Mr.Cancilla or anyone else that has done this mod. Did you maintain the rubber mounts for the air cleaner at the cylinder heads? I'm thinking, due to vibration, they need to be kept, but just wanting to make sure.

Thanks!!

Aaron

Hi Aron, I felt no need for them, as the back of the filter is made of a hard rubber, I did, however, use a half inch spacer behind the bracket on the rear cylinder to compensate for the offset...
