Bouncing Tach 4 Years, 5 Months ago
I need some help. I put a Baron looking tach on my 05 M* and the tach needle bounces like crazy at idle. At first I thought that it was because I picked up the hot at the coil but I moved that wire to the fuse box on the fuse for carb heater and all the connections are soldered on. Don't know what else to do...Your input is appreciated

It bounces between 700-900 rpm. I wondering if there is a maybe a capacitor I can put in line to "eat" the pulses...

I would call the place you purchased it from and ask them if you have not already done it .You might try swapping to the other coil.....Coug

Just for chits and giggles try turning your idle up some and see if it evens out.
