I put a set of the monster baffles in my V&H long shots. It changed the tone slightly, a deeper tone, but yea they are still loud. I was running no baffles so its not as loud but still are when you get on it. It seems to have helped the back pressure and loss of torque. I didn't drill additional holes just flipped them. But I think you would get close to same results with the baffle mod from the clinic. All they are is a washer the goes in the center of the pipes and are 80 bucks from BBC..

I just put V&H Staggered Shortshots on my '01 Roadie. They are much too loud for me, but I love the look. Help!! How can I quieten them down? I called V&H support for info about their 'quiet baffle' and was told the quiet baffle was installed on my pipes. Any ideas?

I just ordered these HP-PLUS baffles for my new Samson Big Gun Slashers from Phat Performance yesterday (along w/ other misc. parts like battery, brake pads, 1k lb spring, heat shields, clutch & spring set, etc) for when I take her to the mechanic for the winter workout. However, I won't be able to give any feedback on them until the first spring weather thaw out.
