Are you talking about drilling the stock exhaust out to make it louder? If so there are instructions and video on the process here.

I haven't taken mine apart but it's just clamps and bolts. This should help.

Merry christmas to you too

I have an o6 and the factory mufflers came off very easily. Just a couple clamps and some bolts and they slipped right off. Oh and most importantly HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS.

Just so you know going in, Slip ons can be a pain to get sealed up. If you have popping or backfiring after you put them on check the connection between the header pipes and the slip ons.

Just an FYI,

I have al 2005 Silverado. Took my mufflers off to make it easier to uninstall and reinstall the rear tire (better access). Mufflers were a cinch to get off: two clamps and the bolts that mount them to the frame. Putting them back on was a royal pain in the arse. They did not want to line back up into the gaskets.

Puttiing on new mufflers should be easier, assuming you are using new gaskets. I'll never try to reinstall even the stock without replacing gaskets again. Burned up 45 minutes the last time.

Easy to take off..two bolts and two clamps...

To put back on...make sure clamps are opened up well...

Loosen the manifold nuts slightly..if you dont... lining up can be difficult..cause the stock mufflers are attached to each other...

After market slip on mufflers ... that dont have gaskets...so a little silicone copper gasket sealant..will help seal...

but since you are dealing with one muffler at a time..a snap to slide on..
