choke not staying out 6 Years ago
I have a problem with my choke knob not staying out. I will pull it out, start up the bike and the choke creeps its way back to it's normal position. Is there an adjustment that I need to do? Or how do I fix this?

There are two nuts on your choke cable assembly where it is attached to the bracket.

Where the cable is attached to the bracket:

Front (outside) nust adjusts tension. Be careful if ever backing this nut off. There is a very tiny spring and ball bearing in it that gives the cable the 'detent' capability. If your choke is creeping in, tighten this nut until you get a good compromise between ease of operation and 'stickyness' in kob position when pulled out. If you never experience the 'detent' feel. someone else may have already lost that ball bearing and spring.

Back (inside, back side of bracket). This 17mm nut holds the choke knob assembly in the bracket. It just needs to be snugged up if you knob seems to be moving around (not in and out like you described). If you ever remove the choke knob, this is the only one you need to mess with. Backing it completely off so that it slides back onto the cable allows you to remove the knob from the bracket.
