I bought a 1999 Roadstar 1-1/2 years ago and it already had a big bore kit with a warrior starter added but I frequently have a real hard time starting the engine, even more so when the bike is hot. It has caused a starter clutch failure and this weekend my starter died. I'm hoping there is something the dealer and I are overlooking because at this point I am considering drilling the heads for aftermarket compression release valves. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know where Randysgym has been lately, maybe you could PM him ..If you read all his articles you will see that he has beefed up just about everything. starter, starter cables, clutch, ignition. Could be the PO of your bike has some tolerances out of spec. That's a hard one when you don't know what's been done and how..
