Sissy Bar Luggage/Bags 4 Years, 4 Months ago
I'm looking for input on soft-sided sissy bar luggage/bags. Anyone found something they really like....really dislike? Anyone have any first hand experience with products made by Carroll? I've attached a link to products made by Carroll. I've looked at the leather trunk made by Yamaha, but they seem over-priced for what you get. I'd appreciate any comments and advise.

Thanks.

Yakman, have you checked ebay? There is a company that sells on there Moto-Directusa I bout some bags from them all leather including shipping the cost was about 50 bucks I told someone at work about them she ordered two sets of bags. I am pretty pleased with mine. Saddlebags, but I am sure he sells what you are looking for. I also bought a helmet for my son a great price and a nice helmet. Fifty Yet

Hey Yakman try this site, they have name brand stuff and good people.
they have everything from nylon to leather. I have the style hard leather and barrle bag from tourmaster and it does good, also a rain cover and it worked good on my trip when I got caught in a rain storm out east. Hope you find what your looking for.

Bill.

I have these that look I dentical to the one on Chilhowee, The only thing I dont like is the pocket to fit over the back rest is too small to fit over the standard Yamaha back rest. It's to narrow. I just fold mine in and use straps to hold it.

Re:Sissy Bar Luggage/Bags 4 Years, 4 Months ago
I see the width of sissy bar bags varies quite a bit....from 12 to 18 inches. I have a Yamaha rear fender rack and was wondering if the wider bags tend to sag over the edge of the rack. We don't plan on loading the bike down with tons of stuff, but would like a little more space than we have with the saddle bags. Any thoughts on width of the bag?

Thanks again for the help!

When I get back home on Thursday I will measure mine, but the answer is no, the bottom bag is fairly rigid and holds up very nice, no sagging.

Mine came from Leatherup.com. It has a 6" wide leather piece with velcro to wrap around sissybar & leather strings to tie around rack. Great piece.
