Hey you all, PaxGunner here (John Mayton) out of North Carolina (the past 3 years.) Originally a California beach boy, but have been everywhere. Started riding in Japan while stationed there (350 and 450 Hondas) and loved it. Got away from it (marriages) but a month ago my wife, bless her, asked me if I wanted to get a motorcycle…. duh. A week later, I owned a 2002 Roadstar Silverado. I'm still getting used to it. It's in the shop getting the tranny recall done but I hope to have it under me next week.

Hello, From Ashland, MIssouri, Friends call me Dogg (long story) I've been riding 30+yrs, First bike was a montessa 250, on to Norton 850(wish I had now) then on to the HD mystique after 15years of Harleys I got real pissed over a warranty deal and vowed to never own another, although I've helped fix a few on the side of the road.Went on to yamaha over a drag bike I saw in Kansas City and have never looked back. My current stable is my old venture(85) a 250TTR, XT 225 for the grandkids, and my newest steed 04 Roadstar. We own a small farm outside of town, with cattle,goats,chickens,and mean dogs. I work at the University of Missouri in Columbia as a Hyperbaric Tech- Respiratory Therapist. I'm looking forward to being a member of this site. Thanks, DOGG  |

Welcome to the Clinic Dogg!!
As you already know, its the ride and not the bike. The 85 Ventures were great bikes, I am a huge fan of them.
Glad to have a guy of your experience weighing in. And you are going to love the Road Star. Great bike, and very easy to change in any direction you want to go.
