Garage Day 7 Years, 9 Months ago
Wish I could be there ... not that long of a ride, but a bad weekend for me from a family standpoint (14 year old girls tend to like daddy there to spoil them on their birthday I understand ) But my question is .. when did TEMCULA become California's WINE COUNTRY? Being about 30 minutes from Napa Valley I guess I have lived in an illusion for all this time?

No offense taken ... got a good chuckle and sent my friend that works for a smaller winery up in Napa that news ... phone rang about 2 minutes later .. SAY WHAT??? Still wish I had that weekend available for the Garage Day tho.

Actually, there is a wine and baloon festival held every year in Temeculca now. There are quite a few vineyards, and it is known as "Wine Country" locally here. Not the only wine county mind you, but wine country none the less.

Be aware, Ortega Highway is closed this weekend. If you are coming from So. Orange County, you're going to have to go 91 to the 15 or down the 5 to 76. . . . Buzz
