What your AIS does (for those who care) : it pumps fresh air into the exhaust system After combustion has already taken place in order to give the EPA the clean #'s they like. That's why these bikes can be Rich in the jetting dept., and lean in the exhaust. It does No harm to remove it, requires no carb work, and you Ain't hurting the environment , because the reading is "false" anyhow. Confused now? Bottom line , it's ugly/bulky and needs to go. BB

The Night Sky Customs AIS Removal Kit looks similar to the plugs I put in mine. Aluminium is what you want.

I've seen a number of these plugs from time to time on e-Bay.

You can also put in 45 spent casing but that's going to be harder to get in Montreal or maybe not.

Well it wasn't a Canadian.

Just remembered ..... Those black rubber spacers they put between the cylinder fins also fit in the AIS holes. You can get then in with the right sized punch

That's correct. When fired they fit in perfectly.

Yes, we're all slower up here .... must be the cold weather.

casing = douille

If you fire a 45, the empty casing fits in the hole. Might be hard to find a 45 in Montreal, 38's are more common in the night clubs.

You can also use 45 colt cases trimmed down to 45 ACP length. The colt cases have a rim. So they are about 1/2 inch across. Different look. You want to use fired cases cuz using a case with a fresh primer could cause, uh, backfires
