I was in Budapest in '86 when Hungary was still in the Warsaw Pact. Cool city then, I hear it has even flourished more in the last 19 years. Check out the Gellert Hotel for an awesome indoor pool in a 3 story atrium and if you have a weekend free, go to Prague which is also very cool.
