Spent a lot of time at the dealer today 4 Years, 3 Months ago
I have ME880's installed today, along with a few other minor tweaks. It was crappy outside, so I hung out while the work was done. Local dealer is loaded up with Raiders, Strat/Road Liners and 1300's; nary a R* in stock (I saw one).

The more I look at the Strato/Road Liners, the more I like them. The Raider is not really to my taste, but looks like a solid ride. The guys at the dealer tell me "don't ride a Liner unless you are ready to buy." The 1900cc motor on that aluminum frame apparently rocks. It will be a test of willpower to stay off one come Bike Week.

I checked out the Warrior as well; looks like a lot of fun to me. Also looked at FJR1300's and like them too.

Damn, I need more money!

I was reading on the RSP that for 08 they think it will be the Raider in OZ with no Roadies. Hope it ain't a sign of things to come.

I have to admit, once I mounted the newly-shoed R* I pretty much forgot about the Liners. I had a big, fat, sh**-eating grin on my face again. Love my paid-for R*!!

Paid for is really good mine has been from the day I bought it. Leaves me more money for goodies. Both dealers I have been to in the last two weeks don't have and R* so not sure what is going on. Guess they are the last thing to be shipped.

While we are on the subject...Yamaha hit a home run with the Road Star...
New models like the Raider and the Stratoliner are designed to pull new and old into new and maybe better .....The Road Star has a great deal of aftermarket acessory support..I.. like many others have invested a lot of money into our Road Stars....Creating a timeless motorcycle was the strength of Harley Davidson

Yamaha better keep the Road Star without changes...if they ever
have any ideas about dominating the Cruiser motorcycle market..
