I'm sure you had to be expecting opinions, good and bad. Well here's mine. Since you've put the $$ in the bags, now make them your own by.
1) Get the pipes you want for looks and sound
2) Paint the bags to match, otherwise you'll look like a skunk
3) Install the mounts
4) Ride like there's no tomorrow.

Personally , I've never minded the Road king style hard bag. I do think that once you get your exhaust choice decided, and can lower them a little , it will look more suited to your Roadie. Looking forward to the end result.  BB |

those bags need to go lower. Look for some low slung pipes and then lower the bags accordingly.

here is a link to a saddelbag site that is a very good price they have some very nice hard bags

and you might want to consider changing your pipe to either duals or a 2 into 1 or some shortys i went with Bub Stubbys , great sound and lots of extra power |

Those are some good prices (compared to the $1000 price of the Yammy bags!) If mine hadn't come with the bags I would be seriously considering getting some from viking bags....Good tip junglebear11

OK, the concensus seems to be they need to be lower, and i agree, im leaning towards the cobra 2 into 1 , ill post pics when the project is done, thanks to everyone for the great input, i really appreciate all the positive comments

Hello Loadmaster,
I personally like the style of your bags. I agree with the previous comments about lowering the bags once you choose the exhaust you want. Find a local painter who can match them up with the color of your bike and they will look excellent. Regarding exhaust, the V&H 2in1 propipe or a set of Reinharts or Bubs would look great on your bike. They all have excellent quality but I have to say that I am partial to my Bub jug huggers! The deep tone at idle and the complete roar when you get on the throttle puts a grin on my face a mile wide! Good luck with your decision! Post some pics when you are done.

For hard bags, those prices are really pretty good. At least compared to Yami OEM

Ultra Star site is a good place to check out differant bags.
I have RoyalStar 97/98 Tour deluxe bags that I mounted.Modifided
Royalstar brackets to mount them.New White Walls this weekend
