T-Shirt 4 Years, 2 Months ago
Hey Guys,

I've gotten so much out of this site, and am very excited to meet a BUNCH of guys so willing to share their experience with a greenhorn like myself. I'm a professional graphic designer and would like to show my appreciation.

For those will the authority, could I have permission to design and produce a RSC T-Shirt that the members could get off cafepress.com? Just let me know, wouldn't presume to do anything without first running it by you guys!

thanks!

This has been discussed in the past, but lost some steam. cartersta does screen printing on t-shirts and would be willing to do it for us. He even had an initial design put together.

I think we would all welcome the participation of someone like you with demonstrable graphics skills. You might want to contact cartersta to see if he would still be willing to print them.

I lost some enthusiasm when my bike got onto it. I am ok with using it like that, but I really would like (if it has a bike on it) for it not to be mine. I try really hard not to let the clinic get branded as 'my' site and I think that kind of propagates that problem. The Clinic is a whole community of folks and I am just one very small piece of it. I hope everyone understands that part... I just aggregated it....

I would love to see what you could come up

I just got a shipment of patches, so good timing to discuss.

I kind of forgot about the T-Shirt thread.

I'm still interested one if it happens.

I agree completely on the not showcasing any one bike. I was thinking of more something that was a graphic and maybe a RSC logo or something. Thinking along the lines of a pin-up nurse or something. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks, Cartersta.

I don't want to offend anyone, or sound ungrateful, but let me ask. Why not use Cafepress? I've used them for a long time and they do really good work. Full-color graphics on Beefy-T's. They handle all the production, money processsing, and shipping. That way people could order shirts at their leisure without it being a huge time consumer for any one/two people. Just my .000002 cents.

I am in for a T Shirt for the Clinic and think that it should have the Roadstar on it because that is what the Clinic is and what we ride. Cafe Press sounds good to me, like you said we can order them at our leisure, let me know if it happens.

Well, what I can do is set the price at Cafepress to $2-3 above what Cafepress inventories them for, then donate the proceded through the site donation. It would be an honor system kinda thing, but I think I'm up for it. I think the guys on here would be okay with paying a couple extra bones to promote the site and get a nifty wearable advertisement to boot. The shirts would still be real reasonable, about $20 depending on the style they choose. Let me know what you guys think.

I understand. Maybe we could put in a stock Roadstar, that way the bike's represented without hurting anyones feelings. Thoughts?
