Re:Rough Idle 4 Years, 1 Month ago
Couldn't figure out the problem It will be going to the Dealer Right Or Wrong
I did check the PMS screw it was out 5-1/4 Turns. I turned it in to 3 and it lost alot of power and poped a little.
Not knowing enought about the Jetting and Carb yet. I desided to try the Dealer Hope it wasn' the Wrong Decision!!

Any Ideas about the Jetting and the PMS Screw??
I think the PO was trying to solve the problem with the PMS screw rather than Jetting

My 07 has the same sort of idle. It was driving me nuts and others have said it is normal. I've got it better since dialing in the PMS and jetting but it's still a loping type idle like you describe.

Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

In my opinion your best bet is to just to start over. Get yourself a needle from one of the popular kits (I'm running dyna) and get some mikuni mains from about 165 - 175.
Follow the directions in the tech section for jetting and put in the stock pilot jet and start
with the 167.5 main. Put the needle in where the directions say (4th notch from blunt end), white washer and spacer under it set the PMS out around 2.5 turns.
I assume you are running the stock air box.

Since your bike stops running on one cylinder I'd be worried about SVS. That is the classic symptom. If you run rich for too long that's your fate. If your bike runs worse as it gets hotter that points to a rich condition.
