Good Tools to have 4 Years, 2 Months ago

For the benefit of new Road Star Riders, lets assemble a basic list of tools that they may occasionally need besides a good socket set, set of wrenches, alan wrenches and set of screwdrivers.
For example, I don't remember the nut size but its handy to have a stubby wrench for removing the oil drain nut...

I also carry a spark plug gap gauge (one of those disks that doesn't take up any room at all), a couple of shop rags, a small spray can of WD40 (not a good idea on hot days though), good tire gauge, to name a few.

Three things I carry all the time in the bottom of my saddlebag.
1)A good tire gauge is a must, particularly if you have spokes. Some won't fit unless you weave it inside the spokes.
2)A flexible valve stem, one from like the inside dual of a truck. A lot of the air chucks at local gas stations wont make the bend for the front tire. You can simply screw on the extention, flex it to where you can get to it, add air, and then take it back off.
3)A dozen or so zip-ties. Never know when a cable holder will break and you need to hold it down to something.

Ball end Alan Wrenches. Work great in spots where you can't get the wrench lined up straight.
And long Jeweler's screwdriver to adjust pms with.
