jetting 4 Years, 2 Months ago  
hey guys quick question, how should the bike be jetted with bak, speedstar drag pipes and speedstar 5500rpm kit. i will be doing this myslef to save a 150 bucks and to make sure its done right........

What's your elevation? It apparently makes a big difference.

So, you're pretty close to sealevel down there. You'll probably want to hear from Curt or some of the low area guys. My setup in the East Tennessee mountains is not going to do you much good. Sorry. There are guys on here that are a LOT more qualified to help you anyway. Look for posts from DocShadow, Musky, Cougar, Big Bear, Curt (don't mean to leave anyone else out). They are the carb gurus.

I'm not quite to Jedi status ,but you could try: 170 main , needle on 5th notch from top , 35 pilot (stock), PMS at 3. After WOT test, and main jet is determined to be right, drop the needle one notch (4th from blunt end). This will have you in the neighborhood. BB

in the neigborhood how will i know what to change to get in in the house, and this should be the perfect set up for the bak, speed star 2 into 2 and the speedstar ignition box. do i have to worry about the washers

Depends on which rpms it bogs, spits, pops, gags, etc.

I believe the kit includes a silver and purple washer. You should have enough.

if it does certain caracteristics lalalala how do you know what to change, does it tell you how to place the washers
