Gram,
I am going to be using a drill press to port my manifold next weekend. I would appreciate any tips, pointers, advise etc.. that you can give. I don't have a spare manifold, so I need to get it right the first time. PM or post.....

Thanks,
Mr. Breeze

Hey Mr Breeze,

I will post a little later with some detail, the process I use lends itself to getting an extraordinary manifold without having tons of experience. The more experience you have the better it gets.

I was holding out for folks who wanted to start porting manifolds on a regular basis due to the tool up costs, but since you have a drill press might as well proceed.

Long story short (details to follow) you are going to need sanding dremels, drill bit extensions, and a good globular hone.

I have a few leftover manifolds if you screw it up. What year is your bike?

My bike is an '03. As I told you in an earlier post, I venture to Ontario for business, so maybe I can make it to the 'Garage Day' if I have enough notice.
Who knows, maybe I will want to set up shop!

I would appreciate any details you can send my way. I plan on doing mine next weekend.

My personal email is dclandsman@live.com

Thanks,
Mr. Breeze

Hey Gram,
I would very interested in attending the Garage Day too. A frined of mine is a mobile motorcycle tech. He has rebuilt 30+ Roadstars (due to trans recall). I might be able to talk him into setting up shop if he sees the procedure. I live just outside Palm Springs so Corona is not to far a ride...I'll try to contact him today. and let you know.

Mr B, Charlie Horse, Coug,

I am on a killer project right now that is saturating all my time ( 7 x 12). The project is slated for launch on Monday night, but that may slip a day or two. As soon as it is done I will get some pics put together of the tooling, then see what I can do with a steps list. Maybe knock one out to take some progress pics of.
