Lucas upper cyl. cleaner. 4 Years, 1 Month ago
I know Lucas is good stuff, I use thier oil additive in the Freightliner. It brings the oil pressure up like it was new again. Just wondering if anyone uses the "Lucas upper cylinder lube and cleaner"? Its supposed to be great on carbs and EFI,cleaning valves, etc. I wanna use it as an additive every couple tanks. Same as you would use MMO, Seafoam, etc. I just got a great deal thru the shop that wrenchs on my big truck, so I was curious if it's been tryed by anyone? And how they liked it.

The Lucas man says that "upper cyl. cleaner" is the ..'cats meow... (his words) for a bike. But thats the dealer talkin. But I do know that Lucas is damn good stuff...probably use it anyway, theres nothing in it to hurt a V twin, and Lucas knows how to lube.

I have been using the Lucas since the second SVS that I had. Run it through about every third or fourth tank. Not sure how much it's helping. But I haven't had a problem in 5,000 miles since I've been using it. Use it in both my car and truck and it does help. I put about a shot glass worth (Left over from the old drinking days!) in the tank each time I use it. Well that's my two cents worth anywho!

I run Lucas through every third or fourth tank and love the way it works! I've managed to keep the dreaded svs out of my 05 with it and a lot of tweaking. I think everything Lucas makes is 100% top notch.

I'm surprised, I will have to find the article again, but in test on the their syn oil, it tested very poorly. Good know that others have been having good luck with it. If I can find the test article again I will post a link. Amsoil and Mobil tested the best. Sorry a little off topic.
