The first time I rode with SCRC I missed the turn to where they were gathered and had to go down the road a bit and come back. &quot;We saw you go by, but we couldn't hear you,&quot; several members said. Yes, I was on my &quot;Stealth&quot; Roadstar Silverado quietly sneaking up on everybody. Forget that! I NEEDED noise. Subsequent research showed that new pipes cost $450 to $600, do-it-yourself was pretty complicated and a bit over my head technically, however http://www.bikerbrackets.com came to the rescue. For $175 I got a more than awesome sound, a great look, and now everybody turns their head to see who let the angry grizzly bear loose on the road. If you ride a Roadstar, V-Star, etc. and want to save big bucks and get a seriously deep rumble out of you ride, check them out.<br><br>Post edited by: gram, at: 2005/01/14 15:30
