Back From The Mountain 5 Years, 10 Months ago
Well guys could not have had a better trip.Me and the wife
left Vegas friday morning at 5:00 AM and arrived at one of
the most Beeutiful places I`ve ever seen,BRIAN HEAD,UT.
Saterday we got up and had afairly good pancake breakfast to
start things off. At this point we`re somewhere around
7 or 8 thousand feet. The poker run(yes guys I said poker
run not poke her run)would cover abought 150 miles. It 1st starts
out going up to 10,400 ft with most the speed limit between
25 to 45 mile per hr.(was glad have been in the desert for a
long time now and you forget how breath taking and diverse
this land of ours can be! Thru the pines, past the lake,
and then dropping down in elevation thru red rocks with tunnles
carved thru the stone. A great hot dog lunch with all the fixin`s.
(OK we did find a little bar and had a couple brews, but just
a couple, something call Poyligamy Porter Excellent )then a nice
ride back to were it all started for chicken or steak and a
country band that after a few more Poyligamy Porters sounded
..............ok. And then you know the rest, lest this morning
at 5:30 AM to beat the heat at home,it`s a hundred and eleven as
I type.And my Bike(Big Red)what can I say......It`s a Road Star

I can tell from your sig pic that you like Porter (or whatever)

Yes, it's amazing how diverse America is. Seen most of it except the south-east. I think my favorite must be Wyoming/Montana area.

So it sounds like the bike ran well at the higher altitudes?

Sounds like a blast! Sure wish I didn't have to drive for 12 hours across the Dakotas and most of Montanna to get to mountains! Sigh...
