Re:Hello All!! 4 Years, 1 Month ago
Thanks Joe,
These are just "Optix" brand by Street Glow (Fixed blue LEDs)taht I got at AutoZone...
Other companies make the color changing modules... but they're not as cheap... (Uh, inexpensive...)
I went with a friend of mine to the Harley dealer and they have a selection of accent lighting there too! (But, those units are huge...) We're talking 3/4 inch wide and three inches long, with a profile of nearly a quarter inch...
The LEDs that I put on are about a 1/4" wide and 3 inches long with a profile of less than 1/8"...
I pulled a power wire directly off the battery with an inline "mini" blade fuse holder... (I have a total of nine lighting units with a total power draw of less than .5 amps... (I use a five amp fuse.) I left them on by mistake one night and the next morning (around nine...) I came out and the bike started right up!
If you want I can give you a parts list and a placement diagram too...

Are those direct beam or diffused. I was looking at some that are .3amps, single color and diffuse 180* but can't recall the brand. They run $35 per unit

No those are direct beam three light LED strips from Street Glow... I should ad though that this was a time exposed picture too... So there appears to be a lot more light that there really is... See?

LOL, ya it probably should be "roadieislife"!
I've always used archeryislife for several reasons, it is always available on all forums(cept archery ones of course go figure) and web email systems. It is also way easy to remember and makes it easy to say if you are telling someone your email address.

I've been into archery and later guns every since I could walk. I've shot competively at the national level when I was a kid and one Nationals twice. But that level of shooting is very difficult and one tends to burn out. I now just hunt and shoot for fun.
