Try loosening the bolts up on that side and see if it still does it.

Heh, the only time it does it is when I'm riding it (and it doesn't do it consistantly). That would make the floorboard loose while riding. I might still try it though on a short ride.

I wish it was that easy. But the spacer is nowhere near the line. The line is attached right to the other side of the frame tube, out of the way of the floorboard.

Don't make it super loose. Just enough to release any possible binding. The brake pedal is still a mechanical part and it might be bound up.

Re:Rear brake locking 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I've noticed there's a part of the pedal assembly that's resting on the header pipe, actually touching it and hitting it when I release the pedal. It looks like it's always done that on another part of the header pipe about a 16th of an inch further inward before I moved the pedal out that 1/4" for the engine guard. Now it hits the header every time. But there's nothing I can do about that. It feels like the pedal is allowed to travel all the way up to its normal position. The rear tire isn't binding when I turn it on the lift. Just thinking out loud.

Anyway, a BIG thanks everyone. I'll loosen the floorboard tomorrow and see how the pedal behaves. I might also put it back on the lift first to see from underneath. I'll get back with y'all tomorrow. It's late and I haven't had din-din yet (not sure what language that is but for now we'll call it Klingon).

I was thinking of doing that Musky. I'll do it tomorrow when I'm more awake. Been a long day for many reasons. I think my fridge's ice maker just broke today too. But, we're still kicking, so that's a good thing.

Can you post a pic of the touching part? Nothing should be touching....The pedal has to have 100% movement , if it's being held....even slightly, the heat at the caliper will cause the fluid to boil and the back wheel will lock. Be careful , please. BB
