Can anyone point to where I can find the difference in mechanical differences between Roadie years of 2001 through 2007. I would like to buy a Roadie but looking for a model year that has the least mechanical problems.

I personally know 4 folks riding Roadstars, either the Silverado or the Midnight in '02 & '04 No reported problems on any of the bikes combined 50+k miles of service. All of us have done some slight mods, I think I've done more than most of the folks I know, not one of us has had any type of difficulty other that deciding what to do to the bikes next...The reason that I picked the Roadstar to begin with is that I didn't want to buy a bike that was going to give me any hassles at all. I keep it serviced as directed by the owners guide & it is practically my daily rider... I average just over 2,000 miles a month riding, rain or shine...The only days that I take the car is when I open the garage door & it's raining too hard to see the end of the driveway or if I've got to pick something up that won't fit on the bike... Good luck with your choice.... It's a Roadstar, you can't go wrong. All I can say is that I absolutely love my '04...

Sorry I just realized I didn't answer your question... Go to the Star Motorcycle website, it will let you compare all the specs between model years. Good Luck & Ride safe..
