Platinum Boarder Posts: 1544 Side Cover Thoughts 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago   I've seen a few folks going to the chrome side covers, but I've been kicking around another thought I wanted to run past folks with more experience. I have the two-tone (beach sand-silver) 2005 Silverado, and I was thinking it might look nice to get side covers off a Midnight Star and remove the emblems. The idea is that by blacking out the side covers, they might blend in with the frame and seat, making the "V" configuration of the engine and all that chrome stand out more. But then again, I do not care for the chrome either. I like the color of yours the way they are. JMO. I like the beach sand metallic..... it ties in the fenders and tank... The black covers look cool to me. It's different and would set your bike apart from the rest a little. Bottom line though is if you like the look.
