Re:MPG Issue....Again 4 Years ago
I was getting 42-45 last summer, but I've been getting 32-35 all winter. Today when I checked I got 37 on this last tank. Same roads, same area. Our miledge should be going back up over next month or two. If not, somethings wrong.

When I first got my 00 Roadstar w/ V&H longshots in October I was getting 28-32 which sucked. In February I swapped my K & N big air kit for Mr. C's, changed out the fuel filter and now I'm getting 36-38 around town and 44 on the highway. No carb change at all.

As of the end of last year, in city driving I consistently get 45 mpg, no pampering; more if I do highway.

Mikuni 167.5
Pilot 35
Clip on 4
PMS - wherever
Nemesis manifold
BAK
Pipes - ProPipe and Barons
No windshield

.... and I've been running slightly rich. Did some 'tinkering' this winter and hope to improve.

Yes, not quite as 'crisp'.

The richness is down low not midrange. I suspect it may be the choke issue so I used the chrome choke knob fix.

Haven't had enough miles to get a good reading if that improved the situation. It's also tough to tell if it made a difference when you're comparing rides 4 months apart.

Dealers should have them, especially those that specialize in racing parts.

I used the stock washer off the top of the clip under the spacer and cut a piece of credit card plastic for the top. It doesn't matter what's on top of the clip. It's only there for the spring to rest on.
