Anybody install Royal Star Hard Saddlebags on a Road Star?
I have a set and want to install then on a 02 Road Star. I have the stock brackets for the Road Star but it looks like a lot of cutting and welding to make them work. Would it be better to buy the Royal Star mounts and adapt them to the bike? Any help would be Great. Any Pic`s ?
Thanks Eric

I think Thebru and Vegas dave are running them. Do a search and you should find some info.

I have Venture bags on mine. I used part of the original mounts and had to do some minor welding and bending. I think I posted pics of them before. If you can't find the earlier threads or need more explaining feel free to ask. The hardest part was the final tweaking for alignment. I love they way they look and the extra cargo room.

Eric,
I think its way too much work to try to make them fit you better just send those bags to me. I've got the full garage/welder etc.

Were they the ones that were crashed? looked pretty good in most pics except one where the inside was crushed.

I got mine on e-bay $420 with shipping, Excelent condition Not even a scratch. From a 04 Ventura. If my bike was White I would not even have to paint them. All the hardwere included just no brackets.
