Funny , the local dealer round here had the semi-syn Yamalube for 26.95 a gallon , which I didn't think was too bad. BB

it sounds to me like they are trying to do what HD has been doing for years. They realize people are sickly loyal to a particular brand or maker of machine, and will pay what ever the dealer is asking. it's got to be better. it's Harley, or yamaha, etc. check out wally world.

Yamalube 15w50 at $19.85 is a joke! I'll be willing to bet that it ain't nearly as good as Mobil One's 15w50 car synthetic. And Mobil One 15w50 car synthetic is definitely cheaper. I think they have gone to a silver cap on the bottles now, but local hardware here still sells the 4 liter red-cap bottles.

I use the Red Cap .... it's the old formulation.

Bought up the supply when they switched formulations so still have enough left for a number of years.

here's another thought on this subject. Does Yamalube have their own refinery? No! so more than likely what you get when you buy a Yamalube product is Cheveron, texaco, BP or whatever they were able to talk into letting them purchase at bulk and put their own label on. cut out the middle man, buy the original product. just do a little research and find it.

Our Super Wally World doesn't sell the Mobile 1 V-Twin any more. Not enough demand. Bought mine at AutoZone for $9.47 a qt.
