I haven't received any notifiaction for updates in a month or two.  Your not supposed to need Genuine advantage if you use the auto updates. I was getting notices but then it just stopped.  |

Well Musky, dont worry about them stopping supporting a previous service pack. Heck, microsoft is going to quit supporting XP altogether soon lol. Seriously though, if you're the least bit computer savvy might I suggest slackware linux running KDE Desktop. Forget about virii forever  and get ready for graphics you wont believe, also, be ready for free. Thats the important part. Not using it on this pc but I am on all my others. Happy surfing |

I had one security update about a week ago. Are you sure you don't have auto-update turned off.

Not security updates ..... and I definitely don't have Genuine Advantage.

Yup. Auto turned on. Just set to notify me but not automatically install them. As a matter of fact I just got an update notification an hour ago. 4 updates. Microsoft must read on the Clinic.  |
