Troubles getting my pro one bullets to work 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hello again, So I am also trying to install bullets as rear signals. This is my question to everyone. The stock signals came with grounds coming from each light. Pro one bullets only have one wire comeing from the light and then the directions tell you to make your own ground. Either you can ground to the fender or you can ground one light. Again these are really vague directions for a novice. The following is the only way I got the lights to even light up. I hooked them up to the only place they could, the brown and green. I took my ground wire and hooked it up to one light and continued to put the other end to the negative on the battery. Both lights blink simultaneously. What am I doing wrong. I have cashed 5 fuses already...

The one wire coming form the bullets is the positive. The ground is the case so it you have it screwed onto the bike it will be grounded.

The chocolate and dark green are the postives for the left and right turn signals. You hook up the one wire coming from the bullet to one of these ... not both.

isnt the fender on our bike fiberglass though? could always solder a wire to the metal casing on the light and ground that way if you are installing somewhere nonconductive

No ... stock fender is metal. If yours is fiberglass then it's not stock.

But yes .... if your fender is not metal then your suggestion would work.

I can tell they are metal fenders every time a rock gets thrown up inside of it. My Volusia had a very different sound, as they were not metal fenders.

Doc, are you saying to hook only one wire from the bullets to either the green or the brown? If so, how am I going to get a left or a right blinker?

The green is the positive for one side (can't remember which). Hook up the green to the wire from the bullet the ground the case to the frame.

Turn the signal on and you'll see if it's left or right.
