Gas Tank Mod 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I've been looking, but I can't find it. I just wanted to give props to whoever it was that recommended the gas tank mod where you get an awl and poke holes around the inside neck of the gas cap.
  • Now I can fill it up all the way to the bottom of the caps lip quickly, and since the holes are all even, I know that I am filling up to the same exact reference point. I would asume this will give me more accurate MPG calculations, but it sure saves me time at the pump.
  • Thanks again clinic bretheren.

gotta try that, but might wait a couple of days and see who else does it and how much it increases their range.

Yeah, I'm with you. Still a bit nervous about maybe starting on fire and burning to death.

Well, looks like Butter Bean and I will be the guinea pigs. Just did it to my bike, too.

If you smell gas or see a dark gray smoke plume, call 9-1-1, OK?

I did mine a long time ago. I just don't top it all the way off if I'm going to park it instead of ride it.
