Quieter valve train 6 Months ago
I know these engines can be quiet noisey, but some times the knocks or the pings or the clicks and clacks seem alittle to much.
We also seem to have some problems here with SVS.so after readind the
attached pdf on Lucas Fuel treatment I decided to give it a try.

http://www.lucasoil.com/images/medialibrary/fuel_treatment.pdf

I bought the 5.25oz bottle and have been adding 1oz to 5gals of gas.
After 4 tanks of gas I`ve noticed my top end has quited considerably.
I`ve just gone over 18,000 miles on my 06 and should be useing the last
of the 5.25oz bottle this coming weekend.have a trip to Laughlin,NV. and
Oatman,AZ. planed and should do around 300 miles round trip.

Now if i can only talk one of you guys in to trying a bottle to see if
it`s just me,or if this stuff really works.I don`t work for Lucas just
tryin stuff out to see if it helps our RD*s.

Who`s in

I did a seafoam treatment before last oil change. Since then I've put lucasoil in with every tank. I agree. MUCH quieter.

My little brother has a Ural, which is a very noisy machine.
He has been using Lucas, and swears by it.
I've been meaning to give it a try.
I will definitely have to now that I have heard it from somebody with a Roadstar!!!!

I use amsoil oil and filter. This is a gas treatment.
I`ve also used Mobil one and HD Screamin eagle oil,
but this Gas Treatment still seems to help it more
At some point I`ll have to try the Lucas motorcycle oil.
The main reason I`ve changed engine oils at all is availability.
Synthetic alone helps quiet down the top end some.

I should be a salesman for Lucas products. I use the oil additive in everything I own, from SUV to Freightliner. I do not use the fuel additives on a regular basis, but all my engines get a good shot about every third tank of gas or diesel.
I think they are great products, and have quit worrying if I am kidding myself about the improvements. If I think it helps, that's reason enough to use it.

Re:Quieter valve train 6 Months ago
I was saying in another post that I once tried Sunoco 110 octane, "LEADED" racing fuel...
Yeah I got a little better mileage for that tankfull... And, the lead really smoothed and quieted my motor... It was niiiice!
But between the smell of the exhaust and the worthless high octain... to say nothing of the $5.50 a gallon (Almost a year ago...!) WEll, maybe this is the product I'm looking for...
I want to hear from Muskey who is out there in Seafoam Land, MN... about similarities or differences in the treatments...
After all, I don't wanna use Seafoam in this tank and Lucas in the next...
My Star won't know if it's going or GOING!

Re:Quieter valve train 6 Months ago
I've been using the Lucas top end oil for about a year in the R*. Did notice a difference. After having the SVS twice. I started using the Lucas once a week and Hitting the rev limiteron the on ramp at least a couple times a week. I noticed it sounds better about 1 tank after the Lucas . Then if I notice it doesn't sound right before the next "Treatment" I just do it early and it seems to clear up. Even the Dealer noticed it sounded better when I took it in for the 8,000 checkup. It seemed to get smoother!
