I just wanted to say hello to all the forum members. I have been lurking for some time reading all the posts while I decided what bike my wife and I were going to buy. I was looking for a good 2up bike that we could go on trips with. I was a little hesitant getting a bike that was air cooled, but after reading the posts I decided to make the plunge. Well that and I got a really great deal. I have been riding sport bikes for the last 11 years and before that I had a LT1100. I still ride my sport bike when its just me going. Anyway thanks for being so helpful.

If you overheat one of these in the Pacific Northwest, be sure to come back here and tell us. As hot as it gets down here in TX, you'd think you're riding directly on Satan's back. My neighbor is hopefully getting one soon and we're headin to Mexico! (and yes....he's from there so that should buy me a small degree of safety)

I can vouch for that, just got back from a week in Killeen. Walking out of the airport I thought we were entering the gates of Hell.  It'll be that hot here soon but at least we have time to acclimate.
