New Ultimate Seats!! 6 Months ago
Just took delivery of my new seat(s) from Ultimate Seats! I rode my buddies bike with the Mustangs. Liked them, but I was convinced to drop the extra dime and get the seat from Ultimate. I can't believe I spent nearly a grand to outfit the R* with rider seat and backrest, passenger pillion, and passenger backrest pad....So far the missus and I have ridden about 100 miles on them. What an improvement from stock. Highly recommend these to anyone who rides!!

Keep it up!,

Nice! It would be nice to be able to spend a thousand bucks on making my poor tax-burdened rear end a little more comfortable..... but our Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach just ate more of my tax dollars, he and his buddies gave himself a big fat raise to $213,000 a year. Most of HIS wage tax-free too!
I'll bet his executive office desk recliner chair cost more than my whole Roadie!!!

Whoops! got off topic there...
But a beuracrat's comfort takes precedent over a taxpayer's comfort, so MY Ultimate Seat purchase will have to wait until I can pay my taxes off!
Congrats on yer new seats, -SM

I'm waiting for a set myself. After a 300 mile trip with my wife on the stock seat the wife said she would buy us a Ultimate . It's even going to have a wolf on it.

I'm interested in a Mustang, but I have looked at the Ultimate. The leather worries me a little. Any thoughts or experience on the Mustang vs. Ultimate?

The big issue is my wife and her comfort. She loves to ride with me and I love for her to ride, but the rear end needs some relief. I need to drop the passenger boards a little, but the seat is the main item.

I've had both, I currently ride an Ultimate. I rode 5 hours with the wife this past Saturday and the Ultimate gets the thumbs up. The mustang was good, the Ultimate is great. JMO.

I just switched from the Mustang to Ultimate. No comparison the Mustang is the loser here. I have no more tailbone pain and can ride for more than an hour easy. Make sure you get back rest too with Ultimate if you buy one. If you want Mustang I have a studded one for sale only 6 months old.

I came close to buying the Ultiamte seat at the Leesburg bikefest last month. They had their trailer at the Harley dealership and they put one on my bike and it felt great. Was a little worried about the stitching and what might happen when it rains. I live in FL and it rains here a lot!!!

Anyone invest in their rain cover or just leave it uncovered.

I bought the rain cover when I bought the seat. I've only used it once. I guess because I always forget to take it along. I've never had a problem with the foam getting wet. Apparently my butt is big enough to cover all of the stitching and keep the seat dry. I also take the seat off when washing the bike to prevent any water issues.
