What is the small Pilot Air Jet screw at the base to the Carb Throat for ?
Is the any adjustment for this jet? Mine is screwed all the way in is this normal?

That's a little too general Roadiesl, there are a lot of screws on the carb, take a look here and see if you can identify it a little better...http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/56/96/

Its not on the bottom it is on the rim of the carb throat where the air box is attached

it allows an amount of air into the idle circuit according to its apperture size, I narrowed mine up a little recently and got rid of most of the carb cough recently on my "04 Silverado". Warms up easier now too. And yes, it should be in all the way.

I changed my air jet from #100 to #80 (smaller) to eliminate my "carb cough". Cost $6.50 at my local Yamaha dealer...

I didnt replace mine I just dabbed some rtv in the aperture and resized it with a sewing needle. I more or less just did a temporary fix just to check the results.
