Shoulder pain...handle bars. 4 Years, 11 Months ago
I've seen where Baron handle bars were recommended if you had shoulder pain, but I was wondering if you could roll the stock handle bars back towards you just a tad?

Anyone tried that?

You can get risers that move the bars back. Just figure out where you would want the bars to be and then get risers that put them there. Easiest way is to get a helper with a tape measure. Put your hands where they feel comfortable and measure the difference between where the bars are and where you want them to be.

I believe it's a height and forward issue. Maybe I need them back and down? The word "risers" gives me an image of Ape hangers. not really, but you knwo what I mean. No offense to the apes and all.

I had a Suzuki Volusia before the Roadstar and no issues. The bars were definately longer and lower. If I could get something without replacing the bars then that would be great.

To some degree you can roll the bars. Just check that you do not create a bind in the cables and that they still turn stop to stop. I rolled mine back to try before I got the risers. Dearman

Which risers did you get, did they lift and come back, did they fix your problems?

This is my only complaint (besides mpg's) with my Roadstar. It kills my shoulder after an hour or so.

I had a similar problem until I got the Pro-One risers. 4" up (2" above stock) and 2" back. Everyone's different though. There are risers that maintain the same height but pull back toward you a little too.

If I remember I got my from Barons. I wanted a tach SOoo two birds with same bucks..saved in the long run. At 5'5' I had a reach issue , and yes they are great mine lifted and pulled back and I also rolled the bars for the perfect fit as described by Musky earlier. good luck Dearman

I'm 5'8" and had the same problem.I went with a 2" draw back with no rise.I got it from cruzer custom.I also put a Mustang seat on at the same time. The sad pat is I don't know what helped more but I rode 350 miles the other day with NO problems.
