Anyone have the Mustang Wide Dual Touring Seat (#75217), and if so, any comments or opinions on its comfort, look, fit, etc? And does it work well with the tall Yamaha passenger backrest?

Just thinking about seat options...I can get stock seats off eBay for $20, and I thought about doing that and taking it to any upholstery place and having the stock foam padding replaced with some memory foam and possibly comfort gel pads I can pick up at Wal Mart...

I LOVE it.. the Wife LOVES it... and I've never sat in a nicer ..more comfortable.... better looking seat.... ever!!!! and its leather too!!

I tried the Mustang seat and was TOTALLY unhappy. It pushed me so far forward I could not comfortably ride my bike. It was off the bike and shipped back to the seller within an hour. I am 6'2&quot;...maybe for shorter guys the seat will be fine but I'd avoid it if you are taller.

Hi RK. I have a mustang seat. Not sure of the model #. I had it installed by the dealer when I got the bike.
Comfort is great for me compared to the stock (I had stock on my 2002 V*). I guess it could depend on how big you are and how long your legs are for the ultimate comfort? I'm only 5' 8&quot; and shortass legs. I find the seat perfect for me, but you may not like it for first few rides. It will get better and better as it molds to your a##. I just got in the door after 250 km ride no stopping and there is no way I could have done that with a stock seat (bad back). The benifit is in the lower back support built into the seat. The look of the seat is not the best though.
My wife says it's OK but she still remembers the easyboy chair on the Goldwing we use to have

Hmmm...so many choices... I might be in the same boat as TMK, though, if the Mustang pushes you that far forward...I'm 6'2&quot;, 240 lbs., although my legs aren't all that long. And I'm with you, Map, on the back support...I've got 2 lower back surgeries under my belt (pun intended )over the past 20 years and have had 2 discs removed, so the back gets sore really easily. Back support is key for me, and the stock seat just isn't gonna do it unless I add something like the Custom World adjustable driver backrest that moves forward, tilts, blah blah blah.

Pop, I really like the way that Corbin seat looks...that's the one marketed by Yamaha? Do they sell the model with the driver backrest? I wonder if Corbin sells the same seat cheaper under their own name minus the Yamaha trappings. I think I need to check out the Corbin web site.

Sharp R*, Pop...are those AZ plates? I moved here from there...still trying to sell my house in Surprise. Wanna buy it?

I think the one from Yamaha is the one to get because it has the star logo stitched to the rear of the rider seat and on the tabs.... price actually I think is about the same and yes you can get the optional drivers backrest and passenger for it...those little velcro tabs with the star logo are where it slides in check out Yamaha Accessories
I really like the slimmer profile of the passenger section compared to the clunky look of the Mustang and Mustang seats are VINYL and I prefer the soft leather on the Corbin..IMHO

I dont know about the plates on the white bike ...just inspired me to buy the dual touring seat for.. its lets say ...COOL looks. My Bike is the silver one

Talkin to guys that are tall before I bought and they said the Corbin is OK
IE does not push you forward
