They are probably glad too, the Bub Jug Huggers are a little on the loud (but deep) side . Soon as I turn out of the neighborhood (block and a half) I go to half choke and then choke off within a mile, usually. I pull the knob all the way out and start it without twisting the throttle. Within a few seconds the idle drops and gets ragged just like flipping a switch. When that happens I go to 1/2 choke and ride off. All within 10 -15 secs. Within 1/2 mile push it all the way in and go. In the evening when the temps are in the 80's-90's I pull it out 1/2 way and start then ride off. Push it in within a 1/4 mile.   Logged     2006 Midnight. Honestly, about a minute this time of year with enricher all the way out, then maybe a mile or so 1/2 out. During the winter, it can be a full five minutes. Odd thing is it used to warm up faster (idle increasing) before I pulled my AIS off. I am able to drive away after 10 to 15 seconds. Never timed it but I'm guessing <5 min. total. A little longer when it's cold since it takes longer to gear up for the weather. BT   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access. #95312 bowhunter4265 (User) Detroiter by Birth Eastsider by the Grace of God Senior Boarder Posts: 354 Re:How long do you let your R* warm up b4 riding 5 Months, 1 Week ago   cold weather full choke, but lately still in the mid 50's half choke.. its about a 2 miles to the freeway steady cruise about 35-50 mph and the bike still a little cold, as far as the oil coming from the tank. when I hit the e-way the choke is turned off going down the ramp. and I am good to go.. but if I turn it off early I get a lean sneeze if I slow down and hit the throttle again.. it runs so good once warmed up completely that I really do not want to open the PMS another 1/2 turn.
