R* Suspension - what can it take? 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I was on a quick day trip East bound on I-80 about 40 miles west of Evanston, WY last Saturday when a pickup towing a trailer dropped what looked like a 90 Lb bag of cement mix in the fast lane ahead of me. The bag blew open and sprayed some of it's contents into the air and at freeway speeds there was zero time to react. It was a total white out until I rode out the other side six seconds later. The question is, would my Roadstar suspension have been able to absorb the impact of hitting a partial (maybe 3/4 full) bag of cement mix at 80 mph?

Uh... Really hard to say, but you probably wouldn't once you flew off your scoot at 80 mph (give or take) from the impact. I'm not sure anyone can answer this without knowing of an actual incident similar to your question. At best the bike might flatten the bag enough to just ride through it (since it was open). Very glad you made it through, though. That's a bit scary L2R.

I can tell you that last year at Myrtle Beach I hit
a curb dead on while I had a passenger on the back.
Jumped over the curb and continued. Inspected the bike
and found no damage. Luck? probably.
