Mine is the red one, but I've had no problems with it. I can change the oil with it (did have a slight challenge changing the xfer gear oil a couple of weekends ago, but still got it done). Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones. I am liking Soba's and Cougar's jack though. Prob'ly be my next one.

I started with the Red one from sears and it was minus a bolt to attach the jack to the frame ...no big deal put a bolt on I had in the shop and proceeded to jack up the bike and felt something hitting my leg.....was the hydraulic oil spraying on my leg as the bike eased its way down unassisted by me so went back to Sears and traded up for this one ...no problems but like I said before I set mine on pilons so I can beat on it sit on it and tear errrrrr work on any part with no problems of jack failure....just got a Red lemon I guess seems they are making them better as I see fewer complaints on them....Coug

I got the same one as Soba and Cougar a couple of years ago I really like the automatic locking lever so it will never come down on me unless I lift the lever.

Here's a link to a lift that is a little pricier but has better clearance (4" and would seem to be well built - no experience with it but maybe worth your looking

OOPS - forgot to tell you to scroll down about 3/4 of the page (unless you have serious aspirations)

Choice of Motorcycle Lift 2 Months, 1 Week ago
anyone have any insight on current deals out there on the motorcycle lifts?

i've read anything from Pepboys, Sears, etc. - - - what is the best one for the money and where to buy?

pardon my ignorance here, but is lifting the bike a 2 man job?

I have the Red Craftsman, and have been very satisfied with it. I do not use it to change oil, no access, but it is great to get the bike up a little when I am tinkering, and it is vital when removing a wheel. I always raise it enough to lock out so it is not relying on the hydrualic cylinder to hold it up.

I also have the Red Craftsman and it has worked fine. I have to admit the write ups on this model aren't good, but can't complain about mine.

i am just curious as to what the BIG/MAJOR difference is in the red and the yellow one from Sears? they are both 1500 pound lifts, so...i am a bit perplexed with the price difference. of course, neither of them are on sale right now, but maybe soon.

SOMEONE HELP ME!
