Headlight problem 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
I was out for my first night ride of the summer this past sunday. I noticed my headlight is not very secure. Everytime I hit the smallest bump in the road my headlight would bounce uncontrollably. This is happening because I have the lower triple tree with integrated signals. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, any suggestions on the easiest way to stabilize it? Thanks guys.

Hey JW, If he has the same setup as i do,, there is no lower fastener for the headlight..I installed a rubber bumper to the bottom of the headlight shell that rides on the lower clamp..It cushions the headlight, but it will jump up and down a bit....

See I am the exact opposite. I am not a fan of it. On michigan roads it was like staring at a strobe light for 3 hours straight. It was annoying to me not to mention im sure it annoyed everyone else on the road. Should I super glue it to that rubber bumper?

Well, It's different strokes for different folks...(corny I know), I would rather annoy those folks than be invisible..Getting back to your problem, you could drill the chrome cover and fit a bolt.... take the clamp cover off, drill a quarter inch hole in the center, then insert a bolt from the under side up, then install the cover with the bolt faceing up in it, the clamp will capture it, then drill a hole in the bottom of headlamp so the bolt can be inserted,,set the headlamp on the bolt and secure from the inside of the headlamp bucket with a rubber washer on both sides and a fender washer on the inside.. in addition to the other two stock mounts...that should help....
