Paulyray- tell me more about the Roadshouse Classic 2-1s. I've recently become VERY interested in these pipes instead of the Cobras and V&H 2-1s.

Thanks~

I can't really compare them to anything else, I have only had stock pipes before these. I really like them an feel I made the right decision for pipes. They are not very loud at low throttle but get somewhat loud if you crack on it. I believe roadhouse makes a quiet baffle and a performance baffle for the classic 2 into 1's so if you wanted it quieter / louder it would be easy to do. The serrated heat shields do discolor slightly after time but they also polish up pretty good (they are stainless). If this bothers you I would order some header wrap and install it under the heat shields when you install them. I was going to do this but just haven't gotten around to it. I bought mine used on ebay for 3 bills and am very happy with them. Hope this helps.

Deep and mellow tone? Do they have a nice bark at WOT?

Just wondering about the V&H Propipe. Rather than start a new thread, I thought I would tag on to this one. I'm deciding between the Cobra HP 2into1 and the Propipe. Cobra guarantees their pipes won't discolour. Vance and Hines don't. Has anyone had trouble with the V&H pipe bluing or discolouring? I also saw a note on a supplier's site that a fellow was having trouble with his V&H Propipe. The end cap continued to fall out and he had to stop, retrieve it, and put it back in the pipe with the 2 sheet metal screws. That is until the day a truck ran over the errant piece of pipe and it was game over. Anyone else had this problem? Should I go V&H or Cobra HP 2 into 1?
Thanks

I've used 3 propipes on different bikes......Love 'Em. If they have a shortcoming , it's the baffle. They need to be paid attention to. Check for loose screws every oil change and you're fine. Long road trip , check 'em every 1,000 miles. Here's something else I do/did , weld the two "tabs" on the baffle better (not overkill , just better). The Vibes can break the tabs loose , causing a lost baffle. And I've never had any of my V&H pipes go gold or blue. Hope that helps. BB

The inside pipe itself will blue on the V & H but the heat shield does not. I like mine also. I'm not a Cobra fan on anything. Even my Cobra fatty bar is showing a few spots of rust. Alot of people like their exhuast, but V & H has been around along time, and I have found them to be nothing but quality. I did order a replacement baffle so I mess around with it to change the sound and still have one original to put in. It was 32 bucks, but it hasnt come in yet. JMO

Thanks very much BB and Javawave. That's kind of the conclusion I had come to, but I'm very glad to hear your comments.

Well, I did order the Roadhouse 2-1s but they're on back order. I stumbled across a slightly used V&H ProPipe and Hellrsier Comp Baffle for a very good price from a member over on the RSR forum. I canceled my Roadhouse order and the ProPipe should be here next week. The V&H was the last on my list amongst the 2-1 pipes but I couldn't go wrong with the price. I can always sell it if I don't like it! I'll be replacing Longshots with (not so) Quiet Baffles.

is the Hellriser baffle supposed to be louder or softer than the Propipe factory baffle?
