Seedster competition ignition system 1 Month, 1 Week ago
I have the Speedster kit installed in my roadstar. I think they use their own board in referance to the Dyna we all know about, The SPeedster board only has 2 dip switches. Is anyone here familar with it so I know how to use the 2 switches, the system was already installed in my bike when I purchased it.

I have the Speedstar Ignition in my bike, an 07. The first one I had installed by the dealer actually quit working on me and the dealer got me a new one at their expense, I like my dealer and they have been really good to me. There are no dip switches on the ignition module that I saw or am aware of.

When it stopped working I replaced it with the stock ignition. The Ignition is located behind the left hand cover. Remove that, then one bolt right, and one nut left 10mm. The fuze box comes off and the plastic tray that holds the wireing, fuze box and main fuzes(mounted in rubber houseing on the plastic tray) comes off.

Now behind the mass of wires you should see the three plug ins to the ignition. The ignition is mounted just forward the battery box, wrapped in rubber, with a thin heat blanket around it and is held enplace by a rubber strap. Like the one that holds your tool kit and battery enplace under the seat.

For pictures of this go to, Tech Articles, Installing a Dyna 3000 Ignition,

http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/179/103/ \

has detailed instructions and pictures of how to install one of those, but still has pictures of what I described above as to how to get to the ignition.

Hope that helps.
