Speedometer isnt working??? 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hello all, I just bought a 2000 R today and saw that the meter wasnt working at all. Is there any advice that I can be given to check this problem out?
I did download all the books and things I found in the forum here..WOW this site is AMAZING. In this site I have also found everything that I have wanted to get to uprade my bike also.
I have been in Iraq for the past 4 1/2 years and have been dreaming of getting a nice bike like this. Not I just have a few small things to get right. I love the sound and looks of this thing.

THANKS ALL
FRITZ

Thank you for your service. Glad you made it home and congrats on the Roadie Does the light come on? Does the odometer work? You could start by taking the dashboard off and making sure everything is connected under there. There are also a couple plugs under the tank that you could check. Check those first and see.

There is a tranny recall on your bike. If your not certain it's been done you can give a dealer your VIN and they can tell you if it's been done or not. You could also call Yami customer service and do the same thing.

Thanks guys, I just checked the bike and yes the gauges are working and the lights are working in the gauge set. I will try pulling the dash later today and look at the plugs that you talked about. Also, I dont know if you guys know the singer Freddy Fender, but this was his bike at one time. I will be going back to Iraq in a month or two. Someone has to do it. So far its 1,654 days in Iraq all over it.

THANKS ALL
