Thanks for the Birthday wishes Doc!.........Called the dealership yesterday and they said my bike would be ready sometime today, called them back around 11:00 and they said the guy is putting it together and will be ready for pickup in a few hours. I get to the dealership around 5pm and all I see is my poor Roady with no frontend, fender on the floor and a table full of chrome parts My first reaction was , but the service guy was appolagetic and told me they had some things come up and been pushed for the past couple of days, but he said he would definetly have her together Saturday evening with a new tire on the front wheel. Although I drove an hour to the dealership I was upset but they are trying there best to help me out so I can't really complain, they were really buisy. It just broke my plans on getting it today and riding to the beach this weekend, oh well at least I won't be worried about the drunk drivers!

If its any consolation, long story short, I planned on picking my brand new Road Star up May Long weekend for some butt kicking riding, I was gonna have her broken in by the end of the weekend. Then the dealer informed me (when I called to arrange pickup) that they weren't open. His words were, "Now, I know you're disappointed." and I interrupted him with a, "'disappointed' isn't the word I would use right now." So like that, my 20-30 degree (celcius) weekend was shot, no riding, and after that it rained straight for almost a month. That was a boot in the berries Anyway, Happy BDay el Americanos! I hope to get down there some day to ride with y'all.

Dan

I had to take a load to Wisconsin Wed. Little did I know that Chicago puts on thier fireworks show on Thurs. nite. I figured this out when I got stuck in traffic 20 miles from the city...(about 10 miles farther than normal) Anyway, got almost to the city when the show started,..gotta say glad I got to see it. Never saw a big show like that one first hand. Makes my local fireworks show look like a bunch of kids with sparklers! Have a good 4th all! Thanks Doc.

Made it across the border in one piece.

I was expecting a lots of fireworks and was not disppointed.

We stayed in the Poconos, on one side of the valley. Within a 180 degree radius we saw about 20-30 sites setting off fireworks, from 1/4 to 5 miles away ... for a whole hour. Fantastic.

Made it to the finals and lost 1-0 in a very tight game .... just not enough healthy players to sustain momentum.

... and I did my part to augment the Amercian retail economy.
