2006 Roadstar parts and access. 1 Year, 11 Months ago
|
|
It seems when shopping for access. and parts, no one is sure what fits a 2006 1700cc Roadstar. Many vendors don't know and don't list parts later than 2005.
Specifically I'm looking for an oil cooler kit w/gauge and a Dyna 3000. Does the 06 take the same parts and 05 and earlier?
Thanks!

If it fits an 05 it will fit an 06.

 Hey sjh55,
I am not totally certain on this one, but as far as I know, the last major Roadstar model changeups (that would affect add-on accessories and such) was when the Roadie was changed from 1600cc to the new 1700cc that came out in 2004 model year. They changed a bunch of stuff that year.
As I understand it, the '06 is different again than the '04-'05 (in the areas of braided steel cable covers and chrome housings on the handlebars, instead of the polished aluminum.) As far as oil cooler and dyna3000, I don't see any reason they shouldn't fit any 1700cc Roadie, but maybe get a second opinion from one the guys thatat have an '06 her on the forum if to be really sure. ...There's lots'a great Roadie wisdom out there on this forum
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Musky apparently must not let kids play on his 'puter, he got the answer out there before I find my "cordless mouse", these things get lost quick with kids around.
(There, just tied the damn thing to the desk drawer handle with a peice of string!)
RATS! ..Guess I just discovered why there's nothing wrong with the old "cord-style" mouse.

Just hide their street hockey sticks and they won't need your mouse

Thanks Musky! I needed a good laugh! It was actually worse than street hockey. They use my mouse as a one footed "rollerskate" if you could beleive it! ...time to take 'em out to Rollerland I guess!
